For general Visa information, please visit the U.S. Department of State website. The State Department also has a website with information on the proccesses of studying in the United States including VISA applications and testing. it can be found here.
Housing: Finding a room or apartment on or off-campus can be a daunting challenge since priority is given to degree-seeking students and most housing in the area is unfurnished. OIP works with local residents who open their homes to international students and works with the CSM housing Office to secure housing for international students. Occasionally, students will need to find an apartment off-campus. It is not a good idea for you to actually choose an apartment before you get to campus. You should see the property and there are required deposits and leases that should be signed in person. OIP can assist you in understanding the terms of the lease. We can also assist with furnishings for your apartment and for things you may desire but we do not have available; there is a thrift store nearby that sells gently used housewares/furniture.
